The Sketch Club

One of the oldest drawing clubs in Britain.

The London Sketch Club is an historic graphic artists' club located right in the heart of London's Chelsea.

Although over 100 years old, it still remains one of city's best-kept secrets, forming a link with the artists, illustrators and writers of a century ago.

Former illustrious members include Cecil Aldin, HM Bateman, Arnold Beauvais, Tom Browne, Edmund Dulac, Dudley Hardy, John Hassall, Phil May, Alfred Leete, Christopher Nevinson, George Parlby,
James Pryde, Charles Robinson, and
Heath Robinson.

In the reception room there is a frieze of silhouettes of past and present members surrounds the room which also features, amongst other curiosities, an original cell door from Newgate prison.

Location: 7 Dilke Street, Chelsea, London, SW3 3JE
