Vanessa Feltz's Gothic House
A most unusual gothic house in north London suburbia.
Famous residents of this site where Vanessa's house is built were the sculptor John Adams-Acton who lived in the original building on the site. John Betjeman also refers to the house in his Metro-land documentary made for the BBC in 1973.
The land where Vanessa's house now stands was occupied by several out buildings, including a coach house and stables, from at least 1853. The house did not exist in its present form until sometime between 1915 and the 1930's.
One of the more famous owners of Vanessa's house was the Advertising giant Charles Saatchi.
It's a gothic monstrosity and wonder in the middle of posher suburbia.
