Is that a Drill I hear
Some people's idea of hell..but a journey into UK health history
This museum, although excellent and a part of the UKs health history that should rightly be 'preserved'...could also ultimately be many people's idea of torture. But, it's still worth a look in.
The British Dental Association Museum aims to provide a glimpse into how dentistry developed in the United Kingdom, told through articles, images and multimedia presentations.
The BDA Museum is continually adding to the 30,000 objects and images in the collections. An important objective of the Museum is to develop the collections to document the directions of dental practice in the United Kingdom, and to enhance our rich archive of the stories of the past.
The BDA Dental Museum also provides a variety of services for teachers, students and adult groups.
So if you fancy some 'drill' action, wander on to Wimpole Street - the museum is open Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4pm, and other times by appointment - best check the webbie - http://www.bda.org/museum/index.cfm.
