Cyclists Please Beware
Take care on this road whilst cycling - you may be knocked off
What happens when you cross London's transport system with Google Earth... the answer...the capital's most dangerous roads for cyclists.
A Google map for the Department of Transport details every cycling accident in the last 12 months (March 09) reported to Police in a bid to 'save cyclists'.
Well then where to start...the King's Road along it's completed length is a bad spot, as is Oxford Street, Theobald's Road, St Paul's, Hyde Park Corner and the rather splendid Elephant & Castle.
Created by Tom Taylor a software developer (and I'd bet a friend of the two-wheeler), it is part of a government plan to improve access to official data...I think that means make cycling safer!
So for starters, take care on the King's Road and always wear proper head gear!
