Underground Art and Crime Free

Free to view, crime free, great graffiti art on show

In May 2008, during the Bank Holiday weekend, 9,500 people a day descended on Leake Street, near Waterloo Station, to see the Cans Festival, the subculture blockbuster of graffiti art organised by Banksy.

Nearly 500 of them added their own stencils to the pieces by Banksy and the 38 other artists from around the world he invited to take part.

And so it goes on...

Halfway along Lower Marsh just after the library is an underpass and the holy grail for prosecution-free graffiti.

Take a walk on through along it's length, soak up the art on display, and listen the choral choirs that seemed to play on the PA - all very good.

And if Banksy's behind it, well it must e good!
