The Oldest Bridge still in use

The oldest bridge in Surrey still in use - The Clattern.

The small Clattern bridge here is the oldest bridge in Surrey that is still in use. There's a stone plaque set into the brick parapet describing it's ancientness. The Bridge takes the road across the Hogsmill River, which runs into the Thames. The name 'Clattern' is thought to come from the clattering sound of horses' hooves in medieval times.
