A History of differing Worship
Once home to the Gay Liberation Front and Graham Chapman
'All Saints Notting Hill' is a Victorian Anglican church, a Grade II listed building, built of stone with polychrome decoration in the Victorian gothic style... and located on this spot.
The West tower has five stages with the stump of a spire, and the Sanctuary features paintings by Henry Holiday.
And back in the day (well the 1960s) - the church hall took on a very different form of worship - it was home to meetings of the then 'Gay Liberation Front'.
At this time when attitudes where changing, what better way to get the message across than to get a 'Python' on board...'Monty Python's Flying Circus' that is!
Indeed - Graham Chapman - the calm, pipe-smoking Python was part of the gang.
