This is where the old London Planetarium used to be.
The London Planetarium was owned by the same company who owned Madame Tussauds next door. Once a very famous London landmark, it housed the Planetarium - shows about space and astronomy.
It went a bit Imax-esque and showed some Wallace and gromit for a short while instead on it's dome. It closed in 2006 to make way for extra and more profitable waxwork action.
At the time Sir Patrick Moore wrote It is enough to make grown men like me weep. Once we stop wanting to learn, we stagnate.
It was originally opened by Prince Philip in 1958 in the shell of an old bombed theatre from the blitz.
