Peter Storey's Pub
The pub that Arsenal hardman Peter Storey owned in the 1970's.
Arsenal midfield hardman Peter Storey bought this local pub after his retirement from football in 1978. It was then called The Jolly Farmers (now called The Northgate).
In 1979, he was fined for running a brothel, and the pub was shortly after targeted by serious criminals and he ended up getting himself involved with a counterfeiting ring. He served a three-year prison term for that, and found himself in the dock again for running a brothel called the Calypso massage parlour in Leyton High Street and was convicted of smuggling hard-core porn into Britain in the spare tyre of his Jeep.
