The Goldhawk Social Club

One of The Who's early regular gigs in the early 1960's.


Formerly The Goldhawk Social Club and now the Shepherds Bush Club, this is where where Roger Daltrey used to hang around with the local toughs, and was also one of The Who's regular early venues.

The Who's last performance at the Goldhawk Social Club in 1965 earning them 50 between them.

Others who played there included Adam Faith, Shane Fenton, The Macabre, Screaming Lord Sutch, The Birds and The Clique.

The 100 Faces club used during the RSG performance of I Cant Explain were from The Goldhawk.

The member's club was 5 shillings to become a member.
