Home of Titanic's Duff-Gordons

Home of the society couple who bought their way off the Titanic.

This was the residence of Sir Cosmo Duff-Gordon and his wife Lady Lucy at the time of their survival of the Titanic in controversial circumstances.

Lucile ran one of the greatest couture houses in London, and Cosmo was one of the great blackguards of the start of the 20th Century.

They allegedly bought their way off the Titanic in a lifeboat and paid the oarsmen money not to turn back help the hundreds who were drowning.
