Brockwell Park's Walled Garden

Lambeth's best kept secret kitchen garden in Brockley Park.

Here is a secret and secluded old English walled garden, with rose beds, and a delightful mixture of herbaceous bedding, providing almost year-round interest.

This used to form the kitchen garden for old Brockwell Hall, demolished in 1809 by glass manufacturer John Blades.

The gardens are open to the public up to an hour before the main park gates are closed.

Location: Brockwell Park, Lambeth, London

Brockley is near Peckham, Brockwell Park is near Brixton - they are two different places in London. Brockwell Park is where the walled garden is. (Carrie Smith)
