Carlton Hotel Communism
President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam rolled pastry here.
That's right... the Carlton Hotel (now demolished) in London's Haymarket did indeed have some historical Communist connections.
Back in 1913 this glorious hotel employed an apprentice pastry-chef who went onto bigger (but not better) things in South-East Asia.
President Ho Chi Minh, who once rolled pastry between his fingers, went on to rule Vietnam as it's Communist leader.
